Today the Von Renner teachers and staff surprised the kids with inflatable races. It was a lot of fun!

Students from Orestimba High School visiting their Von Renner pen pals. After writing letters to each other throughout the year, students from 2nd grade finally met in person with their OHS pen pals.
Our Safety Patrol went on a field trip to Boomers. The Students had a blast and enjoyed making a candy salad.
Today we held the 3rd day of our Olympics. The TK, Kinder, and 1st grades classes competed. There were lots of parent student relays. Our Cougars gad a great time and showed good sportsmanship. Way to go Cougars! A big thank you to our Olympic Committee for putting on such a wonderful event.
We had our second day of Olympics today. The 2nd and 3rd graders competed. Go Cougars!! Tomorrow the TK, Kinder, and 1st graders compete! Popsicles will be on sale for $1 tomorrow during the Olympics.

It's Olympic time at Von Renner. Today our 4th and 5th grade Cougars competed in their Olympics. It was wonderful to see so many families supporting their kids and watching the events. Tomorrow 2nd and 3rd grades will compete.
These Cougars were caught being good and earned a prize for following the Von Renner Rules: 1. Be Safe 2. Be Kind 3. Be responsible. Way to go Cougars!!
Our 4th grade and 5th grade students finished their tournament earlier this month. All our students did an amazing job working as a team and demonstrated great sportsmanship. I know our students will continue to demonstrate these skills as we begin our Olympic Games this week.

Our first graders went on a field trip to Chabot Space and Science Center today. They had lots of fun investigating and learning about space. They went to three activities where they learned about the Sun, Earth, Moon, rockets and the fuel they use to get into space. They also went in the planetarium and saw what it will take to get a mission to Mars. There were many items used in space exploration to look at. It was a fun day!
Nadya has earned 100 points on Accelerated Reader (AR). She earned a 100 point AR shirt and a free pizza.
Our Cougars have been very busy reading and earning AR points. These classrooms have the highest percent of students meeting their AR goals.
