PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Dear Von Renner Students and Families,
Welcome back to School!
I hope every one of you had a wonderful and relaxing summer break. As we prepare to begin a new school year, I am thrilled to welcome our returning students and extend a warm welcome to our new students and families joining us this year.
Von Renner Elementary is and has always been committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment, where students can grow academically, socially and emotionally. Our dedicated staff has been working diligently to prepare for an exciting and rewarding school year filled with opportunities for growth, exploration, and achievement.
As most of you have seen, we have lots of construction going on at our site. We will soon be using (probably in about 4-6 weeks) our new cafeteria/multi-use room building, which will provide a wonderful space for our students to eat, hold assemblies and special events. We are currently in our new office which is located next to the McConnell Adult Education Center, just east of where we were previously. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us with any questions or concerns.
Student drop-off and pick-up:
Drop-off and pick-up areas will remain the same as last year. Bus Zone is the drive-thru near the old cafeteria, TK-2 drop-off and pick-up is the same as before, near the kinder area of the parent drive-thru. Third through fifth grade students will enter and exit from Sandy Creek Drive, unless they have younger siblings and plan with their teachers. Please be sure to coordinate this with your students and their teacher.
Upcoming Events:
Back to School Night: August 14th from 6-7 PM
Yogurt Mill will be onsite from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM
Be watching on Parent Square for information concerning other upcoming events and school happenings.
As we begin this school year, we look forward to partnering with you on your student’s education and providing a fulfilling and memorable experience for everyone.
Sincerely,
Danny Cope
