🐾🎉Hey Von Renner Cougars, Mr. Cope and Mrs. Mayra Plascencia-Herrera really want to be working from the top of the roof at Von Renner especially with the weather getting warmer. ☀️ We’d like to thank all of you for your hard work and effort in trying to make this goal possible already. 🥰 Even though we have a bit more to go to reach our $8,000 goal by Friday, like their very artistic twins seem to be saying, “¡Si Se Puede!” “Yes We Can!” We totally can get them to the top!👆🏼🙌🏼

🌟 Von Renner Students Honor César Chávez Day! 🌟
Today, our incredible students at Von Renner Elementary came together to celebrate the legacy of César Chávez! ✊ Through activities, discussions, and projects, they learned about his dedication to farmworkers' rights, perseverance, and the power of community.
From inspiring art projects to lessons on leadership and kindness, our students embraced Chávez’s message: “Sí se puede!” 💪💛
Thank you to our teachers, staff, and families for making this day so meaningful. Together, we honor his legacy by continuing to stand up for justice and equality. 🌱✨

I wanted to take a moment to place the spotlight on one of our 4th grade students, Catalina. Some of the Beyond the Bell students entered the Young Writers - Monster Madness competition. This drawing competition is a nationwide competition and with parent permission, they were published in a book. Catalina actually won the whole drawing competition making her monster, Bob, the cover of the book. Young Writers sent her a bag filled with art supplies to continue this talent of hers.
If you see Catalina, please take a moment to congratulate her on this accomplishment. 😊
