Mrs. Zehner’s Interactive Math Activity: Shopping for Thanksgiving Dinner
Today was Mr. Cope's Birthday so each staff member brought him a Mylar balloon. He had quite the balloon bouquet by the end of the day. Happy Birthday Mr. Cope! 🥳

Our Cougars were treated to a Reptile Ron Assembly today. Ron taught the kids about many reptiles. Some kids were able to hold the animals. Everyone got to pet the big fluffy bunny. Reptile Ron also asked the kids to wash their hands with soap and water after our assembly because they touched animals. We all did. ☺️
Today our Von Renner Cougars celebrated a major milestone with a delicious cake after our New Cafeteria Ribbon Cutting Ceremony! We're grateful to our Newman-Crowslanding Unified school District Board Members: Mrs. Cerruti, Mrs. Gonzalez, Mr. Rivas, and our Superintendent Mr. Pruett for joining us and making this joyous and historical event even more special. Miss Tina our cafeteria lead and Darcel our lead custodian were chosen to cut the ribbon. Thank you to Mr. Cope, Mrs. Plascencia, the cafeteria staff and support staff who made this wonderful event happen.
Today is World Kindness Day. Mr. Aguilar had a fun kindness activity for the kids to do. They were able to draw a kindness symbol or write a kind message with chalk on the black paper in our cafeteria.
Today we had the last 3 of our 11 Limo Lunch Rides to Mc Donald's. The kids had a blast riding in limos and going out to lunch with their friends. Thank you parents for making our Jog-A-Thon a great success. We raised $18,150.87 before expenses.
Today our kids participated in the Jog-A-Thon. We all ran many laps on the school field. Then we enjoyed an Otter Pop at the end. Thank you parents for your support, it was very successful!!
All of our students have been learning about character traits this school year. Today we celebrated students who showed excellence in: respect, responsibility, goal setting, and perseverance. Keep the good work Cougars. The next trimester award ceremony will celebrate those who excelled at: creativity, empathy, and problem solving.
