Today we had our 2nd & 3rd grade Olympics. Parents & students had fun today. Tomorrow we will have the 4th & 1st grade Olympics. They will begging at 8:30 am. We will have lots of ice cream for sale. We restocked on all of our ice creams this afternoon. Come join us for our last day of Olympics tomorrow.










Today was the first day of our Olympics. TK/K & 5th grade competed in thier events. Everyone had a great time. Tomorrow 2nd & 3rd grade will compete starting at 8:30 am. Thursday 4th & 1st grade will compete at 8:30 am. Please send your child with water during our Olympics.




We had our Opening Olympic Ceremony today at Von Renner. Each class had flag bearers representing their country. The students learned the history of the Olympics and watched our selected students run and pass the torch. The last runner passed off the torch to Mr. Cope and he announced the official start to our Olympics. Tomorrow the 5th graders & Kinder/TK will compete starting at 8:30 am. Wednesday the 2nd & 3rd graders will compete at 8:30 am, and Thursday 4th & 1st graders will compete at 8:30 am. Parents are welcome.




Von Renner welcomed back our first DLI class to celebrate their graduation from OHS. We had an assembly to honor them. Mrs. Manriquez, Sra. Granados, & "Mama Claudia" all gave a speech. Congratulations to our first DLI class graduating!!










We have added the tile boards to the second side of our planter. The flowers were painted by our TK-2nd grade students. The artist who put all the tile mosaics together is Karen Kingsbury and her helpers areJulie and Linda. Karen is in the red apron.




Ryland was our winner for the most basket tickets sold was principal for the day today.



Jimena and Ismael represented Von Renner in the DLI Spelling Bee at Lucas Elementary in Ceres.

The following students were winners in the Westside Art Show: 1st Place went to Sergio Estrada from Bonita. All others are from Von Renner Robert Jorden 3rd Place, Angel Avelar Honorable Mention, and Willow Stokes 2nd.

Our lost and found is overflowing with jackets, water bottles, lunchboxes, and more! If your child is missing any items, we encourage you to stop by and take a look. The lost and found is located outside the new cafeteria, and you are welcome to check it before or after school hours. All unclaimed items will be donated after May 29th.

We had the Awards Ceremony for the 2nd Grade Soccer Tournament. Speedy Gonzalez won 1st place, Las Mariposa's won 2nd place, The Stinger's won 3rd place, and Deadly Dragons won 4th place.

We gave out the 4th grade Soccer Tournament Awards today. In first place was Real Madrid, second place was Los Hungry Mexicanos, and third place was Los Gallos Mexicanos.



Isaac from Ms. Cortez's class earned 100 points on AR. He earned a 100 Point AR Club shirt. Way to go! Keep reading! 🐾📚

We raised $8,942.00 on baskets. The highest selling class was Mrs. Manriquez's class. They have earned an ice cream party. The highest selling student was Rylan Porras in Sra. Medina's class. He will. Be Principal for a day.Mr. Cope and Mrs. Plascencia worked from the roof today. Way to go Cougars! 🐾 The class that donated the most candy was Sra. Zarate's class with 30 bags of candy donated. The earned a donut party.
