Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a cultural tradition celebrated on November 1st and 2nd. It is a special time for families to remember and honor loved ones who have died. Families often create colorful altars called ofrendas, decorated with photographs, candles, marigold flowers, favorite foods, and meaningful objects. Sugar skulls and colorful decorations are also common. Día de los Muertos is not meant to be a sad or scary holiday. Instead, it celebrates life, love, family, and the memories of those who are no longer with us.
